Portrait of Lauren Fox
You can't expect other people to respect what you don't. Lauren Fox

Lauren Fox didn't set out to become someone who writes about boundaries. In fact, for much of her life, she was the person who absorbed every emotion in the room, who stayed late, said yes, pushed harder, and tried to out-run the quiet fear of not being enough. Her story begins not with confidence, but with hives, sleepless nights, and a body begging for mercy.

It was in the unraveling that she began to find her way back to herself.

Over more than a decade working in the medical device industry, Lauren has led people, projects, and massive, high-stakes transitions - but her most meaningful work has happened internally. Each installation, each team she guided, each unwritten rule she once thought she had to obey taught her something about the cost of overextending and the courage required to choose sanity, health, and self-respect instead.

Her chapter, Boundaries Don't Make You a B-!$@& Word, invites women into the very journey she had to fight her way through - the messy, gut-honest work of redefining worth, rewriting expectations, and learning that saying "no" can be an act of radical peace.

Today, Lauren writes and leads from a place she once doubted she'd ever reach: grounded, self-aware, and unafraid to choose the life that matters more than the inbox. She hopes her words clear a path for other women to do the same - not perfectly, not all at once, but bravely, one boundary at a time.
